We are going to the Zoo

My little cousins from Cape Town are in JHB for Pesach and today we are going to the Johannesburg Zoo.
I think I am very brave. My cousins are 8 and they are wild - wild enough to feel very at home in the zoo...
They are also very undisciplined but we are taking their dad with us so maybe he can reign them in a bit.
It should be fun though, I love the zoo!
My favourite exhibit is the bears, last time we went it was soooooo hot, the brown bear had it sorted though, he was splishing and splashing in his pool, without a care in the world, I love the bears.

our zoos in the philippines are quite sad. animals are not well-cared for and they look very unhealthy. but when i was a child growing up in the US, at the zoo in portland, oregon, i remember liking the tigers! and i'll never forget getting to feed a giraffe one time. =)

We actually got a lovely picture of the baby giraffe, up close yesterday. I'm gonna post the pics a little later.
I'm really happy to say that the JHB Zoo is very well maintained, in fact they constantly upgrade the enclosures as an ongoing project.
I also like the tigers, we have white lions here that are just beautiful too.
