Last night the IUA-UCF (a non-profit organisation), in collaboration with Partnership 2000, hosted a concert at the Linder Auditorium. They arranged for six young musicians, ranging in age from 12 to 18, from the Music Conservatory* in Beit Shemesh in Israel to perform with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO).
The music that was performed last night was phenomenal, the JPO were magnificent and the children themselves were unbelievable, performing pieces that brought tears to many and kept the audience enthralled.
Below are some images that I took with my new Nokia 6233, my apologies for the poor quality of the images, its no reflection on the phone, I was sitting way up in the cheep seats.
This pic of some of the musicians was taken this afternoon at a local kosher restaurant, Burger Bar.
*The Conservatory is a beneficiary of the IUA-UCF and funds from last nights performance will be directed to the Conservatory.
